The Vance's West Coast Update

Recap

Does that stand for anything? Recap? It seems like it does, but I can't think of anything... Recapitation... Recapment... Whatever. Anyways... on the actual blog post:

Well, I haven't posted in a very long time. Let me fill you in. My brother is now going to college near me, so he's back living with my mom & I (so no more partying it up in Reno). I am now a freshman in High School, and it's going pretty well, and almost all of my friends are going to the same school as I. A lot of stuff happened over the summer, much of which I will not enclose (Ian, Anthony, and Austin might know why =P). Basically, though, my ex had started to like me again. However, there is another girl who I've known for around 1 and a half years now, and I've been attracted to her from the start. I've asked her out periodically about 4 or 5 times now, only one of which was truly successful. We went on one date (I also went to the Homecoming dance with her. And did things... frowned upon by the faculty. But entirely legal and much appreciated by myself) to a movie and had a rather pleasant time. By that I mean that we made out twice, of course. Two weeks after that one date, she said she wasn't interested in me anymore. However, that is not true anymore. Starting about a month or two ago, we started talking every time she went onto Facebook, as well as whenever she was able to text (she doesn't have an unlimited plan). I was thinking that she liked me, but I was pessimistic about it. I had also recently learned that my old ex was into me again, just as before. This left me in a little bit of a conflict. I could either play it safe and go for my ex who I kind-of liked, but she's not the most good-looking person (not to say that she's ugly, because she's not), or I could take a leap and go for my dream girl who, after a year-and-a-half of rejection, I still couldn't let go for reasons unknown to me. I decided to go for it. I asked her if she liked me (because she knows that I like her, and we flirt back-and-forth on Facebook sometimes), and she responded that she may like me, but she doesn't want to do anything about it because our entire social relationship exists on Facebook. So I'm attempting to talk to her much more in person now, and I think that it's going well. However, I am also competing with two other guys for her, neither of which are very good-looking (then again, neither am I. However, I do have quite a lot of history with her), but they are both very good friends of mine. I'm not sure what to do about this, but they keep cock-blocking me (which is completely unacceptable for those who don't know) and I want to deal with it.

Now on to things that aren't related to relationships; my school is going pretty well (but, as always, there are complications), my friends are awesome, and my brother and his best friend are very cool. Parents, however, can be incredibly annoying and ignorant. But XBox 360 games always understand me. As well as computers. Speaking of which, I have finally completed my website, which I've been working on for about a year. Lol =P
But yes, since Christmas I've been playing with my new Nerf Guns, Gameboy, and 360 games. As well as some old ones. I tried a new style of clothes at school (the same style as my brother), but it wasn't well-received, so I've reverted back to my dark jeans, T-shirt and black jacket. Oh, and the girl who I'm pretty much in love with thinks that my hair will look very good black (and two other girls agree), so she's planned to have a 'makeover' day where she dyes my hair black. I am rather partial to this plan, as it gets her into my house and, frankly, near me. I'm really happy just to be around her. She's also into the 'goth' style of clothing... and I seem to be a fan of that. Strange.

One more thing; I've been in a slight depression recently, and I haven't really been very happy for an extended period of time in a while. Really the only thing that makes me happy (and continuously so) is being with her. When we went on that one date, it may have very well been the happiest day of my life. I could not stop smiling for the rest of the night. And I will never take her for granted, so long as I have her. My my, look at me ramble. One of the last things I want to say is that 1) I've been listening to The Used recently. They're really good. and 2) I lost my iPod while I was at an Eddie Izzard show last Saturday. It was incredibly hilarious (undoubtedly the funniest night of my life), even despite the setback. However, I am getting an iPod Touch for my birthday (which is in about 10 days or so), so that has made me happy. Oh, and the girl I talked about earlier? Yeah, she may be coming to my party. =D

So that's all for now. The last things I want to leave you with are a) I beat the game Fallout 3 today; it's an epic game, b) I love computers, and c) I'm talking to the girl right now. =)
